BlastBoast 2000 was a demolition race that took place every week inside of Echnos City. The course was built inside the Echnos Exhibition Dome, and it was completely filled with treacherous mazes, risky terrains, and extremely dangerous obstacles.
The goal was to race through a course containing perilous areas, such as The Death Maze, while taking out as many other racers as possible along the way. There were no rules to follow, other than the fact that the vehicles used had to be one of the three types permitted, and rented from the race authorities. For drivers who survived with disabled vehicles, several exit points were available along the course. Anyone could join in; all that was required was to register, and pay both a registration fee and a rental fee. If racers made it through the course without receiving too much damage, they would be given prize money. Deaths and serious injuries happened frequently during these events, and the violent aspect of the sport was heavily emphasized, even in BlastBoast 2000 advertisements.
