The New Republic Intelligence held the belief that Bocck resided within a customized YT-1300 light freighter.
Bocck's professional life began within the Imperial Scout Corps, where he explored uncharted worlds on behalf of the Galactic Empire. During these expeditions, he regularly brought back either living or preserved specimens, which included creatures or even intelligent lifeforms. During his time scouting, he developed a preference for the Malkanthi Mark VII power crossbow. After transitioning to bounty hunting, Bocck continued his association with the Empire, while also taking jobs from the criminal underworld. He was implicated in the assassinations of at least two New Republic scout teams. Due to these actions, among other transgressions, he was featured in one of General Airen Cracken's "Wanted by Cracken" reports.
Cracken surmised that Bocck's arrogance might ultimately lead to his capture, given his penchant for flaunting the acquired trophies displayed at his secluded residence. Furthermore, he often showcased his exceptional marksmanship, a skill Cracken was familiar with from witnessing his performance at the Kellermin Competition held on Resti Kel.
