Rodians of the Bomu Clan
On the world of Rodia, a prominent Rodian family was known as the Bomu Clan. Their substantial numbers and seemingly inexhaustible supply of combatants led to the saying, "there will always be more Bomu," a phrase that served as both a benefit and a detriment within the galactic underworld. To cross this clan was often a deadly mistake, as its members were notorious for their eagerness to pursue anyone—or anything—that wronged them. Bomu clan members displayed a clan tattoo above their left eye and favored ambushes over head-on battles. They were generally not regarded as a major threat unless they were under the direction of a shrewd leader.
The Bomu Clan frequently provided services to Popara the Hutt and the Anjiliac kajidic, carrying out illicit tasks for Popara and his descendants, Zonnos and Mika. Following Mika's disappearance, Popara engaged an independent team for a rescue mission, prompting Zonnos to enlist at least a pair of Bomu pilots to waylay the rescuers and prevent Mika's return. Although the Bomus perished in the conflict, Zonnos' involvement remained concealed due to his use of intermediaries. Subsequently, the Bomus harbored a deep animosity towards the rescuers and persistently harassed them, dispatching increasing numbers of heavily armed Rodian soldiers in pursuit.
Following Popara's demise, Zonnos ascended to the leadership of the kajidic and continued to employ Bomus. Four Bomu soldiers were discovered in docking bay Q2214 GRB, alongside Wookiees and Niktos, lying in wait to ambush those whom Zonnos believed had murdered his father. However, these Bomus also met their end at the hands of the fugitives—who, coincidentally, were Mika's rescuers. Eventually, Zonnos' death resulted in Mika becoming the new head of the clan. Mika made considerable efforts to restrain the Bomus from tormenting his "friends." Additionally, he dispatched Bomu soldiers to Varl to safeguard Mika's assets located there. The Bomus found this assignment so tedious that they diverted their attention to searching for Hutt artifacts and complaining about inadequate compensation instead of maintaining their patrols, which ultimately led to an invasion that resulted in the deaths of some Bomu members.
The Bomus remained active even after the conclusion of the Tempest Feud crisis. One of their primary adversaries was the Kenu Clan, who derisively regarded them as mere amateurs.
