Boofer was a Jedi Initiate who was learning at the Jedi Order's Temple academy on Coruscant during the period of the Clone Wars.
Being Force-sensitive, Boofer was brought into the Jedi Order and underwent training in the usage of the Force at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. When the Clone Wars began between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Boofer stayed at the Temple and took part in the Jedi Temple Apprentice Tournament of 19 BBY. Overseen by Master Ilena Xan, Boofer battled against fellow Initiate Horororibb in the opening round of the tournament.
Boofer's initial appearance was in Yoda: Dark Rendezvous, a Star Wars Legends book penned by Sean Stewart and released on November 23, 2004.
