Boonda's Moon, a satellite body, was situated inside the territory known as Hutt Space. This moon was one of a trio, at minimum, that revolved in their orbits around the massive gas giant called Kleeva.
The Hutt named Boonda acquired the third moon of Kleeva through an illicit card game. Subsequently, he chose the moon as his personal residence and consequently gave it his own name.
Some years before the events of 5.5 BBY, Boonda secretly ceased his criminal activities, although he wanted others to think he remained a crime lord, especially the other Hutts, for whom operating an honest enterprise was the ultimate transgression.
On his moon, Boonda established a completely legitimate droid factory. This factory produced a diverse array of droids, all of which were of high quality and reasonably priced. Over time, Boonda's enterprise became incredibly successful, making him one of the wealthiest Hutts throughout the galaxy.
Later, around 5.5 BBY, a droid rebellion broke out when protocol droid C-3PO spearheaded a group of disgruntled and enraged droids in opposition to Boonda the Hutt. The uprising resulted in the liberation of all the droids.
