Borstel Galactic Defense, frequently shortened to just Borstel, was a manufacturing firm. This firm was responsible for the creation of the NNJ-40 "Thunderbolt" long-range ion cannon which was a key weapon on RX-200 Falchion-class assault tanks utilized by the forces of the Galactic Republic. In addition, they also produced the NK-7 ion cannons that formed part of the weaponry found on the Imperial I-class Star Destroyers of the Galactic Empire. The RG-9 laser cannons mounted on the RZ-1 A-wing interceptor were also among their products.
