The internal strife known as the Bounty Hunter Wars erupted among those affiliated with the Bounty Hunters' Guild. The genesis of this conflict can be traced back to Prince Xizor's encouragement of Palpatine to dismantle the guild, a move designed to bolster Xizor's own ambitions for dominance. Succumbing to Xizor's influence, Palpatine dispatched Boba Fett to infiltrate the Bounty Hunters' Guild, which was then under the command of Cradossk at the time.
Following a string of successful operations led by Boba Fett, tensions began to escalate within the guild, leading to internal divisions. The Bounty Hunters' Guild soon fractured into two distinct factions: the True Guild and the Guild Reform Committee. Dissatisfied with the unfolding events, Xizor once more convinced Palpatine to adhere to his scheme. This time, Xizor orchestrated Palpatine's placement of a substantial bounty on the head of Trhin Voss'on't. The official narrative claimed that Trhin had eliminated the entire crew of his Star Destroyer, absconded with a vast fortune, and vanished into obscurity. The allure of the reward prompted all bounty hunters to pursue the contract, ultimately resulting in the demise of many and the dissolution of the remaining elements of the Bounty Hunters' Guild due to avarice.
