However, Armitage dropped the tray, leading to a reprimand from both Admiral Brooks and Commandant Hux for the mishap. Brooks later attained the rank of admiral in the First Order, where he was subordinate to General Armitage Hux, who had ascended to a higher position. In 33 ABY, following the sabotage of a shuttle carrying General Hux and Kylo Ren, Hux discovered that the attack originated from a radar technician under Brooks' command, leading to a confrontation with the admiral. Despite Brooks' denial of involvement in the sabotage, Hux killed him.
