Prior to the Battle of Yavin, Bwahl sought to purchase some ancient relics, and entrusted Han Solo and Chewbacca with the funds. Their mission involved traveling to Mimban to both deliver the credits and receive the artifacts from the vendor, a male Human called Jake. It was known that he used kessum when performing interrogations.

The name of Bwahl was derived from Brendon Wahlberg, who belonged to the Star Wars Fanboy Association.
