Bzorn

A Human male known as Bzorn held the rank of Captain within the Imperial Navy during the era of the Galactic Civil War. During the year 0 ABY, Darth Vader personally gave Bzorn the assignment of devastating a number of planets controlled by the Rebel forces. To accomplish this, he seized control of the Ionic Ring Ship, a device for weather manipulation created by Professor Renn Volz. However, Volz's daughter, Mira, along with the Rebels Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Chewbacca, thwarted his schemes by invading the Ionic Ring and engaging in a blaster fight that resulted in Bzorn's death.

Biography

Bzorn, a male, achieved the rank of Captain serving in the Imperial Navy amidst the Galactic Civil War. Following the Battle of Yavin—a turning point in the conflict with the Rebel Alliance—the Sith Lord Darth Vader himself instructed Bzorn to locate and destroy Rebel-held planets. With this goal in mind, he sought out professor and inventor Renn Volz, a native of Little Kessel who had developed the Ionic Ring Ship, a device capable of controlling a planet's weather from orbit. Bzorn, accompanied by a squad of stormtroopers, forcefully boarded the Ionic Ring above the planet Zerm, and took Volz's daughter Mira as a hostage to ensure Volz's cooperation.

Mira Volz did not remain in Bzorn's captivity for an extended period, as she successfully escaped Imperial custody during a transfer to a prison ship at a secluded spaceport. By chance, she found herself with a group of Rebels after stowing away aboard Han Solo's Millennium Falcon during her escape. Despite losing his leverage, Bzorn persisted with his deception and compelled her father to utilize the Ionic Ring to devastate the Rebel base located on Rion. Subsequently, they proceeded to Volz's homeworld of Little Kessel, the next target on Bzorn's list. Bzorn coerced Volz into attacking Little Kessel using groundquakes and cyclones, but the scientist reached his breaking point. Unwilling to annihilate his own home, Volz refused to proceed further, stating that he would accept any consequences for himself and his daughter. However, Mira Volz and the Rebels had tracked the Ionic Ring to Little Kessel. Solo, along with his allies Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca, bluffed their way onto the ship and stormed the control room. In the initial moments of a chaotic, close-quarters gunfight, Bzorn was struck and killed by a ricocheting blaster bolt fired by one of his own troopers, thus ending his pursuit of the Rebels.
