The C-73 Tracker starfighter, a starfighter manufactured by Sublight Products Corporation, came before the Z-95 Headhunter.
Equipped with two wing-mounted laser cannons, the C-73 exhibited relatively poor speed and maneuverability.
Before Subpro Corporation partnered with Incom Corporation to develop the Z-95 Headhunter, this fighter was among their final designs. In the time of crisis that built up to the Clone Wars, the Separatists utilized these vessels. Its use continued during the Imperial era, though in a reduced capacity. Largely viewed as an antiquated design, even in comparison to the Z-95 Headhunter, some examples were housed in the Imperial Stardrive Museum on Coruscant.
The Virgillian Free Alignment deployed it as part of their obsolete Virgillian Free Alignment Starfleet during the Virgillian Civil War, which spanned from 25 BBY to 4 ABY.
By approximately 2 ABY, the m'Yalfor'ac Order of Guiteica were the only users, incorporating it into their planetary defense force.
