Cal-i-Vaun was a Jedi Knight of the male persuasion, who was in service to the Jedi Order as the Galactic Republic neared its end. He was a member of the Temple Security Force and was assigned to a checkpoint at one of the numerous entry points of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
Cal-i-Vaun, a male individual with Force-sensitive abilities, held membership within the Jedi Order. The Jedi High Council saw fit to promote Cal-i-Vaun to the rank of Jedi Knight. In the year 41 BBY, Cal-i-Vaun was on duty at a checkpoint located within the Temple's docking complex. He halted Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, preventing them from proceeding without proper registration.
