Following a surprise assault by hired guns on the Rebel Alliance's stronghold situated on Tatooine, specifically the incident at Saponza's Homestead, the desert planet of Tatooine experienced a surge in hostile actions perpetrated by Tusken Raiders. Subsequent to the rebels bolstering the defenses of their base, a band of Tusken Raiders launched an offensive, only to be ultimately vanquished. In response, the Rebel Alliance resolved to initiate a campaign directed at the Tusken Raiders.
The Alliance uncovered that a moisture farm had fallen under the control of the Tuskens. The rebels then initiated an offensive, aiming to expel the Tusken Raiders from the farm, and they ultimately succeeded in overcoming them. In the wake of this victory, rebel agent Saponza conveyed his hope that the farmers would find eternal peace. After the Rebel Alliance strengthened their forces in preparation for further operations, rebel scouts obtained intelligence indicating that the village serving as the Tusken Raiders' operational hub had been located. The rebels engaged the Tusken Raiders in combat and managed to achieve victory over them.
