Roughly two decades prior to the Clone Wars, specifically in 46 BBY, the entire population of Candoria, including its associated colonies, was wiped out by the Blue Shadow Virus. This devastating disease subsequently became known as the Candorian plague. Although the plague appeared to have vanished from Candoria, the Empire later introduced it to Dentaal in 0 ABY.
