Cardooine was a celestial body located within the galaxy, and it served as an area of operation for the criminal organization known as the Zann Consortium.
In the time of the Imperial Era, the head of the criminal syndicate Crimson Dawn tasked a band of spacers with rectifying the issues they instigated with the syndicate. The task involved wiping out the Zann Consortium, who were Crimson Dawn's adversaries, on Cardooine.
Within the current Star Wars canon, the first reference to Cardooine appeared in the Starships and Speeders supplement for Star Wars Roleplaying, published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2020. The world of Cardooine originally appeared in the Star Wars Legends timeline, having been conceived by Timothy Zahn for his 1993 novel, The Last Command.
