The individual who fathered Carnor Jax was both a member of the Sun Guard originating from Thyrsus and a clandestine operative working for Darth Sidious. In the year 29 BBY, Sidious tasked him with the mission of recovering the holocron that once belonged to the Sith King Adas, which was in the possession of Norval, a student of the dark side. This member of the Guard located Norval above the world of Ploo II. When the Jedi duo of Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi showed up, chasing after Norval, the Guard attacked the Jedi's ship. Nevertheless, he swiftly redirected his weapons towards Norval's vessel when it became clear the Jedi would obtain the holocron. After the Jedi escaped with the artifact, the Guard killed Norval. Subsequently, Sidious had the Sun Guard agent put to death due to the agent's failure to secure the holocron.
