The Mushroom Cutting ceremony, featuring Marja Lang, Herron Dade, Kaiya Adrimetrum, and Gorak Khzam The yearly Ceremonial Mushroom Cutting took place on Gandle Ott. The ritual involved slicing the stems of multiple cattarash mushrooms, which were then used to make tea. Everyone present at the ceremony would then consume the tea.
In 8 ABY, the event occurred soon after New Republic envoys arrived aboard the CR90 corvette FarStar. Numerous officers from the corvette were present at the event, along with Acting-Governor Marja Lang and General Herron Dade. On this occasion, the ritual was understood as a statement of freedom from the Empire.
