These Chak hearts were essentially small pieces of bark from the Spirit Tree, adorned with heart drawings. They served as symbolic representations of the Ewok Festival of Love. During the Festival of Love festivities of 1.5 ABY, spacers engaged in various activities, such as helping with matchmaking for couples, preparing love cards for Ewok children, and assisting a disillusioned love sage in rediscovering the true essence of love. By successfully completing these tasks, spacers were rewarded with Chak hearts, which could be exchanged for a selection of different gifts.
Within the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies, Ewok Chak hearts functioned as tokens given to players who accomplished different tasks during the Festival of Love celebrations. These tokens were added to the game during the Festival of Love event in 2009. Players could redeem them to acquire a range of items, including chocolate fountains, love crossbows, paintings, and other things. Chark hearts were utilized again in subsequent Festival of Love events in 2010 and 2011.
