During the short time that Sate Pestage was in power, Challer was a part of the Cabal. Later, he became a member of the Tribunal, serving alongside Plumba and General Paltr Carvin. As a component of Ysanne Isard's plan to eliminate the Tribunal, his mistress assassinated him in 5 ABY at the Imperial Hotel by deceiving him into consuming Savareen brandy that had been poisoned.
