During the year 19 BBY, Jilam Kester, an Antarian Ranger, along with Iri Camas, a Jedi Master, sought refuge in this town to evade the pursuing forces of the Galactic Empire. Kester's location was ultimately compromised, prompting the dispatch of Squad 40 from the renowned 501st Legion with orders to apprehend him. Camas created a diversion for the squad, and this distraction enabled Kester to flee.
