Iri Camas

Iri Camas, a male Human who exhibited sensitivity to the Force, was taken in by the Jedi Order during his early years. At the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, he underwent learning in the ways of the Force. Camas eventually passed the Trials of Knighthood and was elevated to the rank of Jedi Knight. Through continued study and commitment to the Order, he achieved the esteemed title of Jedi Master. Throughout the Separatist Crisis, Master Camas served the Order faithfully. When the Confederacy of Independent Systems escalated the Separatist Crisis against the Republic, he dutifully accepted the position of General within the newly established Grand Army of the Republic.

Unlike the majority of his Jedi peers, Camas was assigned to an administrative role. He served on Coruscant as the Director of Special Forces, overseeing one of the two Special Operations Brigade. Camas focused primarily on enhancing the effectiveness of clone troopers. Under his leadership, the troopers achieved an average kill ratio of 200 Battle Droids per trooper. Additionally, clone commandos received training to target droid manufacturing facilities and raw material sources, resulting in the destruction of billions more droids.

In the aftermath of the pivotal first battle on Geonosis, Camas sought to place the Null-class Advanced Recon Commandos into stasis, intending to deploy them only when necessary due to their perceived independence and difficulty to manage. However, the commandos resisted being placed in stasis, leading Camas to request a meeting with their trainer, Kal Skirata. By the time Skirata arrived, the Null commandos had seized control of the Special Ops HQ barracks, prompting the Coruscant Security Force to intervene and quell the standoff. Camas, unwilling to allow the destruction of the barracks solely to contain six rebellious clones, resolved the situation by rescinding the suspended animation order and granting Skirata the status of special advisor to maintain control over the Nulls. Shortly thereafter, due to significant casualties, Master Camas' brigade was consolidated with that of Master Arligan Zey.

Master Camas served the Republic with unwavering dedication throughout the remainder of the war. When Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, secretly the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious, ordered the Grand Army to eliminate all Jedi, Master Camas managed to escape Coruscant. Going into hiding, Camas collaborated with fellow Masters Plett, Vamilad and Djinn Altis to evacuate surviving Padawans away from the reach of the Galactic Empire. As part of a network that transported apprentices to the Well on Belsavis, Camas established a safe house in the city of Chelpori on Celen. Assisted by the Antarian Ranger Jilam Kester, Camas was located by the Empire, which dispatched members of the 501st Legion to eliminate him. Squad 40 surrounded his location, and were lured inside to engage him. Armed with a blaster, and after ensuring Ranger Kester's escape, the battle-worn Camas used his lightsaber to ignite the gas main, resulting in the building's explosion. While three members of the squad survived, Camas succeeded in killing one alongside himself. Upon searching the wreckage, the surviving troopers discovered Camas' remains, along with his lightsaber embedded in the wall opposite the explosion.
