The Chestrashi were a species with sentience that came from the Chestrashus system found in Wild Space. They were known for their lack of mercy and their widespread employment of biological weapons. During the era of the Galactic Civil War, Charendohl Exports, Limited produced the Chestrashi void spear, a signature weapon of this species. This void spear, obtainable only in very small numbers, was a throwing spear constructed from metal and had a tip filled with numerous microorganisms. When it hit its mark, the spear's contents would target the victim's bone and central nervous systems. Sometime between 0 ABY and 3 ABY, the fiftieth-anniversary edition of Galladinium's Galactic Datalog of Fantastic Technology gave the datalog's customers a special chance to buy Chestrashi void spears.
Galladinium's Fantastic Technology, a 1995 book written by Rick D. Stuart for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, was the first place the Chestrashi appeared.
