The Children of Mani were a religious order functioning within the bounds of the Grumani sector.
The core principles of the Children of Mani centered around the doctrines of Mani. This figure instructed his adherents to venture into the untamed regions of the galactic frontier in pursuit of spiritual fulfillment. The Grumani, regarded as the traditional adherents of the faith, maintained that ethical behavior should originate from Mani's instructions, as interpreted by the Hierophants of Mani. Conversely, the Spumani held the conviction that Mani had issued a concealed instruction, asserting that salvation could only be achieved through continuous self-evaluation.
A significant number of Children of Mani were included amongst the Human pioneers who established settlements in the Grumani sector throughout the time of the Galactic Republic. Nevertheless, following several centuries, a schism fractured the religion, thus dividing the movement into the Grumani and the Spumani. These two distinct groups then engaged in conflict with one another for approximately eight centuries, until the Sith made their presence known within the Grumani sector during the New Sith Wars. Ultimately, the animosity between the groups diminished to nothing more than a sentiment of shared contempt.
