This Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS) mining facility existed on the planet of Christophsis throughout the Clone Wars. At this location, CIS Miner droids deposited the force crystals they had collected. It functioned both as a base of operations and a manufacturing center for battle droids.
Padmé Amidala and Captain Rex conducted an investigation on Christophsis during the Clone Wars, which led them to uncover the CIS base and the miners operating there. Padmé and Rex immediately informed the Jedi Council of their discovery; however, during this communication, both she and her guard were ambushed and taken prisoner. Subsequently, Yoda dispatched a pair of Jedi to the planet with orders to liberate the senator and clone trooper, as well as to examine the site. Not long after, two more Jedi were dispatched to the base, accompanied by Padmé, Rex, C-3PO, and R2-D2. It was at this location that the Jedi received information regarding the Devastation from R2-D2 and C-3PO. Shortly thereafter, the two Jedi encountered Count Dooku and attempted to engage him, but Dooku managed to evade capture.
