Chrome Citadel, a dilapidated space station, existed far out in space within the Expansion Region. Originally a settlement for asteroid miners, Chrome Citadel was left empty for many decades preceding the Galactic Civil War, later becoming a haven for criminal elements including smugglers and those involved in slavery. By 28 ABY, Chrome Citadel remained occupied, yet the makeshift fixes applied to the station's original hull made it seem as though the entire structure was on the verge of collapse.
