Chugg was a Reigat of the male persuasion. He acted as the personal bodyguard for Kaylo NaKuda and also worked as the bouncer at The Pits, a bar located on Stend VI.
Chugg's beginnings were as a speeder racer for Team NaKuda. This racing team was supported by Kaylo NaKuda, a Herglic crime lord. A near-fatal crash derailed his racing career. NaKuda provided the care that restored him to health, and Chugg repaid this debt with unwavering loyalty. He became NaKuda's bodyguard, providing security at his garage, Kuda's Compound, and serving as the bouncer for the adjacent bar, The Pits.
As expected for a bodyguard and bouncer, Chugg was a brutal hand-to-hand combatant, using his immense strength to overpower opponents. He also possessed reasonable skill with blasters and throwing knives. The accident he suffered seemed to have significantly reduced his mental acuity. Ironically, despite his past, he lacked talent in swoop racing, possibly a consequence of his accident. He could be very intimidating when the situation called for it.
Chugg was always armed with a small collection of weapons. This included a heavy blaster pistol, a hold-out blaster, a pair of vibroknives, and a triple-headed vibro-ax.
Paul Danner and Bill Smith created Chugg for Wretched Hives of Scum & Villainy. This was a supplement for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, released by West End Games in 1997. Greg Smith provided the illustration.
