Churhee's Riflemen

The Churhee's Riflemen were a specialized mercenary group that maintained a low profile, operating on the edges of the Outer Rim Territories.

The primary weapon utilized by the Riflemen was a customized version of the Kylan-15 blaster rifle manufactured by SoroSuub.

Organization

Churhee's Riflemen structured their organization in a way that mirrored a standard scout troop of the Galactic Empire. The Riflemen consisted of approximately 240 members, who were distributed among eight platoons, each comprising 30 individuals, in addition to various support staff. These platoons were further broken down into squads of ten soldiers, commanded by a lieutenant, or lances of five, headed by a sergeant. Sergeant majors typically oversaw several of these groups. The training regimen for the Riflemen was exceptionally demanding, resulting in an acceptance rate of only about five percent of trainees, who then earned the rank of frontiersman.

History

Their operations were mainly concentrated within the Sarin and Parmel sectors; however, they faced near annihilation in the Y'Trella system due to a lack of assistance from the Galactic Empire. Consequently, the group, then under the leadership of Vlaydm Churhee's widow, Maydla, and including individuals such as Rathe Palror, shifted their allegiance to the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Their most notable accomplishment while aligned with the Rebel Alliance was their participation in the Ryoone Campaign, where the Riflemen engaged in a month-long battle against the Lightning Squadron. Turcan III served as the headquarters for the Riflemen, marking the location of their greatest victory. They also conducted training exercises on the planets Vohai and Parein II. Furthermore, the Riflemen were known for their inclusivity, particularly towards non-humans like Lafrarians and Ri'Dars, who possessed exceptional long-range vision capabilities.
