Cloister of Bilious Torment

The Cloister of Bilious Torment existed as a tomb situated on the planet of Korriban; it served as the ultimate burial site for the ancient Sith sovereign, Bilious Torment.

History

The ancient Sith built the cloister specifically to entomb their Emperor, Bilious Torment, with the intention that any trespassers would meet their demise inside. Following Torment's passing, his remains were placed in the cloister's innermost room, and smaller crypts were built to contain his servants and closest companions. The corridors leading to his sacred chamber were guarded by columns designed to collapse upon intruders passing beneath them, while dart launchers lined the walls.

A considerable time after the tomb's sealing, the Exiled Jedi, Sorzus Syn, along with a group of priests and slaves, targeted and infiltrated the tomb for the purpose of exploration. Upon their entry into the cloister, forty members of her group were killed, yet she ultimately reached the inner sanctum, which she considered a nexus of dark side energy. Syn documented her experiences in her journal, which was later incorporated into the Book of Sith.
