Chapter 16 represents the sixteenth installment of the animated television series Star Wars: Clone Wars, specifically the sixth episode within Season Two, and also the sixteenth episode found in Volume One. Genndy Tartakovsky served as the director for this episode, which was initially broadcasted on Cartoon Network on April 2, 2004.
Using their electrobinoculars, Padmé Amidala and Captain Gregar Typho are observing the Jedi ice cave. Amidala, along with R2-D2, expresses worry over Yoda's delayed return, but Typho and C-3PO reassure her that the Jedi Master will be alright. Typho departs to the ship to inspect the communications array, and Amidala, accompanied by the two droids, sets out in search of Master Yoda. Artoo's sensors detect multiple objects drawing near, prompting the trio to seek shelter as a laser barrage erupts from the blizzard. Amidala uses her cloak as a diversion, and then employs her blaster to eliminate a cloaked chameleon droid. However, Artoo indicates the presence of two more droids. Subsequently, she asks 3PO to get her coat, but essentially uses him as bait. Suddenly, the remaining two droids emerge and commence firing at C-3PO, while Amidala deploys a thermal detonator to destroy them. Luminara Unduli and Barriss Offee then appear with Master Yoda, emerging from the snowstorm. While the Jedi are unharmed, the cave temple has suffered near-total destruction. Master Yoda contemplates how the temple's location became compromised. Artoo connects to one of the chameleon droids, revealing the culprit: Count Dooku.
