Plot summary

Amidst a heavy downpour on Yavin 4, Anakin Skywalker and Asajj Ventress are locked in a tense standoff, their lightsabers hissing as raindrops fall upon them. Skywalker initiates the confrontation, leaping to the summit of the Massassi temple where Ventress is positioned. They engage in a fierce exchange of blows for a duration, until Skywalker employs the Force to propel Ventress from the temple's peak and into the ruins below.

Anakin Skywalker channeled his rage to defeat Asajj Ventress on Yavin 4.

Following her into the interior of the temple, the battle continues, now involving their lightsabers and Force abilities to manipulate debris and hurl objects, including each other, around the chamber. After Ventress is forcibly ejected through a wall, the combatants ascend the stairs to the uppermost part of the temple structure. Ventress manages to dislodge Skywalker's lightsaber from his grasp, but he seizes her arms, preventing her from delivering a fatal strike. His prosthetic arm applies pressure, causing her to release one of her lightsabers, which Skywalker retrieves using the Force. Consumed by anger, Skywalker launches a relentless assault on Ventress, pushing her towards the edge of the temple's roof. He attacks repeatedly, and with each strike, visions of Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Yoda manifest. Ultimately, the section of the roof beneath Ventress's feet gives way, and she plummets into a deep abyss, screaming. In a final outburst of rage, Skywalker throws Ventress's lightsaber into the chasm as well.

Continuity

Subsequent Star Wars narratives have revealed that Asajj Ventress does not meet her end at the hands of Anakin Skywalker in this particular episode. Instead, she survives the fall, although sustaining significant injuries. She would later confront Skywalker and Kenobi once more.

The introductory notes of "Duel of the Fates" are audible as Anakin gains dominance in the duel.
