Chapter 7 (Star Wars: Clone Wars)
"Chapter 7" represents the seventh installment of the animated television program Star Wars: Clone Wars, and it is also the seventh episode featured within Season One and Volume One. Genndy Tartakovsky directed this episode, which was originally broadcasted on Cartoon Network on November 17 of 2003.
Plot summary
Following Asajj Ventress's declaration of being a Sith, Count Dooku mocks her, assuring her that such a thing is not possible. Enraged by this, Ventress attacks him, only to be knocked unconscious by a burst of his Force lightning.
Ventress regains consciousness inside her spacious and lavishly decorated penthouse, with her two lightsabers placed on a silver tray nearby. As soon as she picks them up, Dooku suddenly appears and immediately launches an attack. A prolonged and fierce battle then unfolds, during which Dooku demonstrates a clear advantage in combat skill. Eventually, Ventress is defeated—her lightsabers destroyed by Dooku—and forced to the ground by a Force Push. With Dooku's blade pointed at her, she asks him to end her life.
At that moment, a mobile hologram unit enters the room, making its way down the steps. Dooku introduces her to Darth Sidious, who is his master. Sidious commends her efforts and personally assigns her first mission as a Sith: to locate and eliminate Anakin Skywalker.
Subsequently, Dooku provides Ventress with both a new pair of lightsabers and a starfighter. As she departs to carry out her assignment, Dooku expresses his confidence in her success. Sidious responds by stating that whether she succeeds or fails is inconsequential—the true purpose is to evaluate Skywalker's abilities.
