The Colonists comprised one of the two distinct social groups within the Outbound Flight Colony, the other faction being the Survivors. These Colonists were individuals who entered existence following the catastrophic failure of the Outbound Flight on the Redoubt.
The Charter ensured representation for each of these factions on the Managing Council.
