Combat engineer

Soldiers who were rebel troopers in the Alliance to Restore the Republic and focused on engineering tasks were known as combat engineers. Generally positioned in the middle of a squad, they collaborated with Special-weapons flamethrowers to eliminate enemy strongholds. A combat engineer was Sergeant Kala Tanto. Combat engineers known as sappers built bases for the Alliance and demolished similar structures owned by the Galactic Empire.
