Alliance Military

The Alliance Military, which was also known as the Alliance Armed Forces, the Rebel military, or the Rebel Alliance Military, was the collection of paramilitary forces belonging to the Alliance to Restore the Republic throughout the duration of the Galactic Civil War. It was made up of the Alliance Army, the Alliance Fleet, and the Rebel Alliance Starfighter Corps component of the fleet. The Commander-in-Chief of the military was Chancellor Mon Mothma. The Supreme Commander of the Alliance Armed Forces and supreme commander of the Alliance fleet were examples of high-ranking roles.

The Alliance military had a significant size; by the time of the Mid Rim Offensive, it comprised a multitude of battle groups, numbering in the hundreds. During the concluding days of the Galactic Civil War, the Rebel Alliance achieved victory over the Galactic Empire at the Battle of Endor, which resulted in the Alliance reorganizing and becoming the New Republic. Consequently, the Alliance Military was reformed and became the New Republic Defense Force.
