These creatures possessed powerful wing muscles, enabling them to soar through the skies of their home planet. Similar to other thranta variations, they were capable of being trained and were often guided by individuals known as Thranta Riders. These riders would attach a small compartment to the back of the thranta's head, while a larger compartment for passengers was positioned around its chest. Attempts to introduce these creatures to Coruscant were unsuccessful, as they were unable to withstand the planet's atmospheric pollution. The giant thranta, a larger version of the common thranta, shared similar characteristics but was distinguished by its greater size. It is important to differentiate this from the great thranta, which represents a separate and distinct species.
