A male Human, this individual was a duplicate, created from the genetic material of the bounty hunter Jango Fett. He found himself among the ranks of the clone army being grown for the Galactic Republic on the planet Kamino. Rejecting the destiny of a soldier, this clone fled Kamino, seeking an independent existence. He later encountered and married a woman, becoming the father of Connor Freeman. The family established their home on the planet Atzerri. In 22 BBY, Count Dooku, perceiving the clone as a threat due to his knowledge of the clone army, contracted Jango Fett to assassinate him, a task Fett completed. However, Fett spared the clone's wife and son, even establishing a trust to provide for the child's future.
This Human male was one of numerous clones originating from the bounty hunter Jango Fett. These clones were developed on the planet Kamino to form the Grand Army of the Republic as clone troopers. Refusing to dedicate his life to the Galactic Republic, the clone made his escape from Kamino, desiring a tranquil life. He kept his origins a secret, consistently wearing a helmet in public to conceal his resemblance to Fett. Eventually, he met and married a woman, and together they had a son named Connor Freeman. By the year 22 BBY, the family had made their home in the city of Talos on the planet Atzerri, where they cared for young Connor. Unbeknownst to the clone, in 22 BBY, Count Dooku, who had secretly played a part in creating the army, marked him for assassination. Dooku believed the deserter posed a risk because of his inside knowledge of the Kamino project. Dooku then hired Jango Fett himself to kill the clone, without revealing the target's true identity to Fett.

While inside his Talos apartment, wearing his helmet, the deserter narrowly avoided a blaster shot fired through a window by Jango's son, Boba, who accompanied his father on the mission. The shot missed, causing only minor scratches on the clone's armor from the shattered glass of the window. The clone then hid inside the apartment, waiting to confront his attacker. When Fett burst in, the clone ambushed him, demanding to know who had sent him. During the ensuing fight, the clone managed to remove his opponent's helmet but sustained a chest wound when Fett discharged his blaster pistol. As Fett readied a fatal shot, the clone revealed his face, causing Fett to recognize his progenitor and momentarily hesitate.
The clone then tried to explain to Fett that he had only wanted a peaceful existence, but Fett remained unmoved and fatally shot him. As Fett prepared to leave the apartment, he found the clone's wife and son, who had been hidden during the fight. Noticing the wife's confusion at seeing her husband's killer with the same face – indicating her ignorance of the clone army – and because killing them was not part of his contract, Fett spared their lives and departed. Moved by his encounter with the clone and his family, Fett established an inheritance fund shortly before the Battle of Geonosis, where he met his end. The fund provided Connor Freeman with regular payments in credits every week from the age of one year.
Freeman grew up and learned about his father's origin as a clone and his death at Fett's hands. He was unaware of who had established the inheritance fund, assuming it was his father. Seeing the money as his father's only legacy, Freeman sought to expand it to honor his memory. He withdrew all the money from the fund and gambled it in a sabacc game against the crime lord Tayand. Freeman won, but Tayand accused him of cheating and placed a bounty on his head. Several bounty hunters accepted the bounty, including Boba Fett. This led to a series of events where the younger Fett rescued Freeman from the other bounty hunters, killed Tayand, and allowed Freeman to claim Tayand's treasures.
As a clone of Jango Fett, he shared the same height of 1.83 meters as his genetic source. He also had black hair, brown eyes, and tan skin. Like all of Fett's clones, Connor Freeman's father received training in blaster use, a skill that Connor also acquired. Unlike his clone brethren, he did not want to be a soldier, and he escaped from Kamino. Seeking a normal life, he became a husband and father. He maintained a low profile by wearing a helmet to conceal his identity and kept his clone origins secret. During his confrontation with Fett on Atzerri, he pleaded for his life, believing that he would not have killed his clone if their roles were reversed. This difference highlighted a key distinction between the clone and his genetic template, as Fett showed no hesitation in killing the clone.
This clone made his debut in the first part of the Star Wars: Blood Ties comic series, penned by Tom Taylor, illustrated by Chris Scalf, and released on August 25, 2010.
