Nanta
Nanta was a male Ewok from Endor's forest moon; he battled the Imperial troops during the Battle of Endor while they were occupying the moon. An AT-ST's laser fire struck and killed him. Romba, who fought beside Nanta against the Imperials, remained with Nanta's body and mourned his friend.
Behind the scenes
Due to his unforgettable death scene in Return of the Jedi, fans frequently called this Ewok, whose identity was previously unknown, "Corpsey". Benjamin Harper, an author, tried to name this Ewok Lana and identify them as female in his 2008 trivia book Obsessed With Star Wars, but ultimately he could not give the dead Ewok a name.
Hasbro's Star Wars: Movie Heroes line featured an Ewok Pack, a Toys "R" Us exclusive action figure set, in 2012; this set included a figure of this Ewok, whose packaging identified him as "Nanta".
