Star Wars: Movie Heroes

Star Wars: Movie Heroes was a toy product line under the Star Wars banner, manufactured by Hasbro. Starting in 2012 with toys representing Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, every movie in the Star Wars saga was given representation through new toy releases. These included basic action figures, Battle Packs (and other multi-figure sets), Class I fleet vehicles, Class II assault vehicles, and role-playing toys.

The action figure offerings consisted of both classic figures that had been 'repackaged' from previous releases, as well as entirely new figures designed with large 'action' accessories. All films in the Star Wars saga had characters represented within the Movie Heroes product line.

Discover the Force

A related series, called "Discover the Force," was exclusively available at Walmart stores during early 2012. This series included action figures, battle packs, and vehicles specifically selected from The Phantom Menace. This promotional sub-line was launched to commemorate the 3D re-release of the movie on January 30th, 2012. Each of the 17 products came in unique packaging that displayed a printed 3D movie scene, which was created using the toy(s) contained within the packaging, and could be viewed with the included paper 3D glasses.

Continuity

The Ewok Pack within this toy line is noteworthy because it provided the first official names for two Ewoks that appeared in Return of the Jedi: Flitchee and Nanta. Nanta is the Ewok character whose death is a prominent scene in the film. This same pack also featured the first figure of Kneesaa since 1985. Kneesaa is an Ewoks cartoon character, who had limited appearances in Legends material beyond the cartoon. The pack also included Tippet, who had only previously been featured in two issues of Marvel's Star Wars comic book series.
