Cortosis sword

Rare weapons known as Cortosis swords were constructed from cortosis, a material capable of deflecting or even deactivating lightsaber blades. These weapons came in diverse forms, incorporating different quantities of cortosis, and their creation might be contemporaneous with the invention of lightsabers. These swords had a price of 1,350 credits. One example of a cortosis sword was the Null Blade.

Behind the scenes

The existence of cortosis swords was first documented in Gadgets and Gear, a supplemental roleplaying resource for the Star Wars Roleplaying game series, released by Fantasy Flight Games in 2019.
