The Coruscant Security Force database, alternatively known as the Galactic City Police central database or the police grid, represented a computer based storage system. This system housed various datafiles of information, all meticulously kept and updated by the Coruscant Security Force.
Contained within the database were records of CSF patrol routes and shift timings, details pertaining to active incidents reported from the CSF central control room, data regarding traffic patterns, compiled crime statistics, records of criminal trials and active investigations, evidentiary materials, weapons inventories, vehicle registrations, criminal profiles, merchandise tracking, shipping and transport crate manifests, and supplementary data.
Access to this database was granted to police officers through various computer consoles, including those found on datapads and integrated into their police speeders. Furthermore, other law enforcement agencies, such as the Jedi Order, were also permitted to utilize the database for insights into planetary and galactic criminals, current investigations, and other relevant data. JN-66 analysis droids alongside SP-4 analysis droids belonging to the Jedi Archives's analysis wing were interfaced with the CSF database to facilitate data exchange concerning criminal cases with the Jedi Archives database.
