Corva existed as a planet within the Galaanus system of the Corva sector. A colony was founded on this planet by the Galactic Republic; however, it met its end due to the arrival of clodhoppers that were hidden in a grain shipment. These clodhoppers consumed all plant life on Corva and also decimated the colonist population, killing 87% of them.
In Secrets of Naboo, the name Corva is used in a way that makes it unclear exactly what it refers to. The initial mention describes it as "a failed Republic colony in the Galaan System, Corva sector". The subsequent paragraph then states "[t]he incident at Corva...". Because of this, it's uncertain if "Corva" refers to the sector itself or the planet that shares the same name.
