The crab cannon represented a substantial artillery asset deployed by the Quarren Isolation League, and subsequently by the Confederacy of Independent Systems, during their conflict against Mon Calamari and Republic military units. This massive aquatic walker featured crab-inspired legs, enabling it to ascend even sheer underwater inclines.
The vehicle incorporated a manned command center located at its apex, while protective laser cannons were positioned around the primary weapon system.
To activate its primary weapon, the walker needed to be stationary on a level surface because of the substantial recoil generated when discharging the devastating, yellow energy beam. This beam possessed sufficient energy to penetrate the armor plating of Acclamator-class assault ships, leading to reactor breaches and the subsequent destruction of the vessel. One Acclamator-class assault ship met its end in this manner during the Battle of Mon Calamari. Ultimately, the crab cannon itself was eliminated by Jedi Master Kit Fisto in conjunction with the Mon Calamari Knights during the aforementioned battle.
