This one-time battlecruiser of the Imperial forces functioned as a pirate starship during the early years of the Galactic Civil War.

Propulsion for the vessel came from a quartet of primary engines, with a possible fifth. This central engine, however, at times seemed to be shielded by armor, suggesting it may have served only as an emergency backup. Its hull design was more streamlined and rounded in comparison to the Imperial-class Star Destroyers. The main structure was significantly flatter, featuring a prominent bulbous section extending from the ship's dorsal front.
During a battle against the Rebel Alliance, the ship sustained damage and was abandoned. Following this engagement, the space pirate Crimson Jack and his crew discovered the derelict. They eliminated the remaining crew and repurposed the vessel as their operational headquarters. With financial support from Jabba the Hutt, they repaired and modified the ship.
Utilizing a tractor beam, they captured the Millennium Falcon. They were subsequently lured to the planet Drexel, where Han Solo falsely claimed the location of a secret Rebel treasure. This endeavor proved to be a snare and a setback for Crimson Jack, as his ship suffered irreparable damage. This occurred when his second-in-command, Jolli, betrayed him by crashing her Y-wing starfighter into the ship's command tower.
The wrecked ship was left to float in Drexel's orbit, where Jabba's operatives located it later on. They retrieved data from the ship's computer, uncovering Solo's role in its demise. Enraged, Jabba reinstated the bounty on Solo, which had been previously rescinded.
