The Crusader Templar Sword represents an early iteration of a single-handed sword. It was manufactured by the Caelli-Merced Syndicate in the era of the Galactic Civil War.
In the year 1 ABY, spacers who offered support to either the Rebellion or the Empire during the Battle of Restuss and were subsequently awarded commendations for their service, had the opportunity to obtain this sword. They could do so by requesting it from a Commendation officer aligned with their faction.
As part of the Battle of Restuss narrative arc, this sword is among the numerous items showcased in Star Wars Galaxies. Players were given a commendation item for providing aid to their faction of choice. These items could be accumulated and exchanged with Commendation Officer NPCs for a variety of rewards.
