CS-33 Firespray stun rifle

The CS-33 Firespray stun rifle functioned as a type of stun blaster used for crowd management. This rifle-style stunner was available for acquisition during the era of the New Sith Wars. In the year 1003 BBY, Groshik, the proprietor of a local cantina, brandished his CS-33 Firespray stun rifle to control disruptive customers within his business, discharging a single blast into the ceiling and gesturing with its barrel towards the assembled group until they dispersed. Following this event, Groshik engaged in conversation with Dessel, a miner.

Characteristics

The CS-33 Firespray stun rifle represented a stun blaster model specifically engineered for the purpose of managing crowds. This rifle, designed for one-handed operation, projected a wide-area blast capable of simultaneously incapacitating multiple individuals by inducing unconsciousness. Despite the non-lethal nature of the stunner's effects, those subjected to its influence experienced pain. After each discharge, the stun rifle necessitated a brief time interval for recharging before subsequent use.

History

BlasTech Industries, an arms manufacturer, produced the CS-33 Firespray stun rifle during the New Sith Wars. Some considered this stun rifle to be among the finest non-lethal crowd control tools that could be purchased at that time. Groshik, a Neimoidian who owned a cantina located on the planet of Apatros, employed his CS-33 Firespray stun rifle on numerous occasions within his establishment to manage the miners of that world. Dessel, a miner, witnessed at least one such event, having suffered injury from the weapon and retaining the memory of the pain it inflicted.

In the year 1003 BBY, Groshik utilized his stun rifle to restore order among the boisterous patrons of his cantina, who had become agitated due to the outcome of a sabacc game between Dessel and an ensign. He fired a single shot into the ceiling and instructed everyone to leave, and those present slowly shuffled out of the establishment while he continued waving the weapon's barrel at them. Dessel remained at Groshik's request. As the other patrons left, Groshik placed his CS-33 Firespray stun rifle on a cantina table. Following this, Groshik discussed the intense emotions he had sensed emanating from Dessel during the sabacc game, explaining that he had felt an urge to aim his stunner at the crowd instead of at the ceiling.
