Early life

During his childhood, Star Wars held a special place in his heart. From the ages of eight to twelve, Karpyshyn would dress up as a Jawa for Halloween. He strongly rejected the notion when a friend revealed that Darth Vader was actually the father of Luke Skywalker.

Career

On July 15, 2003, the video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was launched on the Xbox. Karpyshyn held the position of lead writer and was one of the core design team's seven members.
