The Culroon people originated from the planet known as Culroon III, situated within the region of Wild Space.
Culroon III was the homeworld of the Culroon, a species whose history was filled with constant conflict and war. This turbulent past prevented them from independently achieving spacefaring capabilities. However, they did encounter extraterrestrial traders who supplied them with energy-based weaponry. A male Culroon individual, Kloff, leveraged the arrival of these weapons to consolidate power and establish his dominion over the Culroon people.
During Kloff's reign, the Galactic Empire made their presence known on Culroon III with the intention of bringing the planet under their control. General Irrv, the Imperial officer in charge, proposed a formal event where the Empire and the Culroon would exchange symbolic weapons, signifying the Culroon's surrender. This strategy was challenged by Maximilian Veers, a Junior Lieutenant under Irrv's command. Veers, having researched Culroon culture, argued that such a ceremony was alien to their traditions and that a display of military strength would be a more effective approach.
At the ceremony, Kloff assassinated Colonel Jeffers, Irrv's assistant, and initiated an ambush against the Imperial forces. However, the ambush was ultimately thwarted by the timely arrival of an All Terrain Armored Transport led by Veers, resulting in the Imperials achieving victory.
