Cyimarra

Cyimarra, a planet of terrestrial nature, existed within the Mid Rim's Senex sector. It was the original homeworld of the aristocratic House Araba. Its landscape was a mix of cities, woodlands, mountains, and a sea.

The Crystal Spires were Cyimarra's claim to fame. These were a collection of ancient, uniformly tall towers that were spaced evenly across the planet. By the time of 0 ABY, delegations from Corellia and Corulag had visited Cyimarra, and speculation arose that they would recreate the Crystal Spires on Coruscant for the New Year Fete Week festivities of that year's celebrations.

Description

Cyimarra was a planet situated in the Cyimarra system, within the Senex sector. This sector formed a part of the Senex-Juvex region, located in the Western Reaches area of the Mid Rim. This world was positioned along the Senex-Juvex Loop hyperlane, between the Mussubir and Veron systems. A separate hyperspace route connected it to the Skärtis system. Cyimarra was a tranquil, terrestrial planet characterized by woodlands, imposing mountains, icy crags, and a sea with a depth of at least several kilometers.

History

Sometime before 0 ABY, both Corellia and Corulag, planets of the Core Worlds, dispatched delegations to Cyimarra. In the following season, Corellia and Corulag jointly hosted the annual Imperial Fair displays for the New Year Fete Week on Coruscant, the capital of the Galactic Empire situated in the Core Worlds. The Coruscant Daily Newsfeed reported on date 36:F1:1, the day before the unveiling of the secret Grand Display, that many were predicting Corellia and Corulag would present a recreation of Cyimarra's Crystal Spires.

Inhabitants

House Araba, a family of aristocratic status, called Cyimarra their homeworld.

Locations

While Cyimarra boasted elegant cities among its varied terrain, the planet was most renowned for its Crystal Spires. These ancient, shimmering towers, all of the same height, encircled the planet. Their placement ensured that the distance between any two adjacent structures was identical, regardless of whether they stood atop towering crags or lay submerged deep beneath the water.

Behind the scenes

Cyimarra was initially referenced in the "Galaxywide NewsNets" section of West End Games' Star Wars Adventure Journal 5, released in February of 1995. Paul Sudlow was the author of this feature. The reference book The Essential Atlas, published in 2009, located the planet in grid square L-17.
