D-wing fighter

The D-wing fighter served as a starfighter model utilized throughout the First Order-Resistance War conflict. Seleno Chandro, a bounty hunter, piloted a customized version of the D-wing.

Behind the scenes

Audiences can observe the D-wing in the 2019 released saga film, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.

Industrial Light & Magic designed the ship and included it in the final battle sequence at the request of director J.J. Abrams, who desired a massive fleet of ships. The design team selected the letter 'D' as it was an unused letter in the starfighter naming convention.
