Dan Veesenmeyer, who is sometimes credited as Daniel Veesenmeyer, began working directly for Lucasfilm Ltd. in June of 1998. His initial task was to contribute to the creation of diverse iconography for the licensing bible being developed for Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. Veesenmeyer's work involved designing a variety of frames, borders, patterns, and logos that drew inspiration from the details found on props and costumes featured in the movie. These illustrations were intended to be a resource for licensees, enabling them to incorporate the designs into a wide array of merchandise like school supplies, books, toothbrushes, and mugs. Subsequently, Veesenmeyer has collaborated with both Wizards of the Coast and Lucasfilm, providing illustrative work.
